Bharat Telecom has long seen the value of sponsorship as part of our business strategy and we are committed to supporting initiatives in the communities where we operate. The MCQB Sport Award Night held on 7th February 2014 gave us the opportunity to reward the best in sports. Bharat Telecom proudly supported The Best Athlete Male, Jean Luc Vilbrim and Best Athlete Female Annabelle Lascar for their dazzling and outstanding performances in the year 2013.

10th Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation Forum

Bharat Telecom Ltd participated in the forum which was held from 22nd to 26th October 2012 as a silver sponsor. Delegates were also sent to participate in the discussions about the development opportunities for the ICT sector mainly.

Frameworks on National Broadband strategies, Business economics and financing, network technologies, security and privacy were also discussed.

A special workshop was held for decision makers on IPv6 themed: Importance of IPv6 for the future and scalability of the internet.

Bees launches its internet services through fibre broadband at Quatre-Bornes

As from Monday, 01st October 2012, the people of some areas of Quatre-Bornes can subscribe to Bees through various limited and unlimited offers which range from 2Mbps to 10Mbps speeds.

Our Facebook page has also been launched for our followers to get all information on coverage and services. This platform is also to help early adopters to share information about the new experience in terms of optical fibre internet broadband.

ICT-BPO International Conference 2012

The ICT-BPO International Conference 2012 has been organised by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology from the 12th to 14th September 2012. The event aims at promoting Mauritius as a preferred ICT/BPO destination and attracting more foreign direct investment in the ICT/BPO industry to further consolidate the sector.

Bharat Telecom was a sponsor for the first day of the forum which saw some 40 foreign participants/potential investors as attendees. The Conference will include a Ministerial Roundtable, workshops, and thematic sessions around several ICT/BPO related topics to enable the global ICT/BPO community discuss emerging trends and to chart the way forward for the next stage of growth for the ICT/BPO Industry
